Alex O'Connell, a four-star shooting guard from Georgia, is the latest Class of 2017 guard to receive an offer from Syracuse.

Syracuse offered Class of 2017 shooting guard Alex O’Connell on Friday morning, he announced via Twitter.

The Milton (Georgia) High School senior is ranked with three stars by Rivals.com and four stars each by Scout.com and 247Sports.com’s composite ranking system.

The 6-foot-5, 170-pound wing also holds offers from Clemson, Iowa State, Xavier and Georgia. The 247Sports Crystal Ball predicts that there is a 100 percent chance O’Connell signs with Ole Miss.

The Alpharetta, Georgia native ranks between 20th and 28th best shooting guard in his class, according to the three major recruiting sites.

The Orange currently has offers out to six guards in the Class of 2017, and 12 offers out overall. If all players use eligibility as expected, barring injuries and NBA Draft departures, Syracuse will have six scholarships for the 2017-2018 season.

Syracuse could only have two non-freshman scholarship guards when O’Connell potentially arrives, Frank Howard and Tyus Battle.
